Tapas At La Veranda*

Set in a little oasis of tranquility overlooking Gymkhana Golf Club is one of Dar’s hidden foodie havens. La Veranda was opened by Jabeen Amin and Shemane Janmohamed (mother and daughter)  in April 2015 as the city’s ‘first Tapas experience’. It has quickly established popularity among locals and visitors keen to experience this unique addition to the restaurant scene.(*this restaurant has now relocated)

Wine Tasting And Jazz Evening At Akemi, September 2015

Two weeks ago, Dar es Salaam’s only revolving restaurant, Akemi staged the second of the increasingly popular wine tasting and jazz events. Lutzville Wines Launched in Style at The Bay Restaurant

The arrival of a popular wine range from South Africa’s west coast to Tanzania has been welcomed by diplomats, leading hospitality professionals and major retailers. Tanzania’s East Africa Quail and Wine Company (the importers) showcased Lutzville’s popular range of single grape varieties at a VIP reception where guests had the opportunity to meet Jaco van Niekerk, the vineyard’s senior wine maker.
