This September, whisky lovers have two great events to enjoy at the St Paul’s Hotel in Hammersmith, W10.
On Friday 1st September, the respected West London restaurant will hold its highlight event of the summer with a BBQ hosted in partnership with the iconic Highland Park distillery from the Orkney islands. The al fresco celebration of this iconic single malt producer, whose origins go back to 1798, starts at 1730hrs with cocktails (featuring the great whisky) and live music. Of course, there will be sampling of Highland Park whiskies known for their aromatic smokiness. The restaurant has created a sensational menu with the whisky being cleverly incorporated into some of the dishes.

This tasting on Thursday 28 September at 1900hrs will see the Melody Whisky Bar showcasing a whisky described by the distillery as “a complex, well-balanced and lightly-peated spirit” that intriguingly incorporates yeast from a local brewery into the distilling process. While the first Release of this English whisky only left the distillery in February 2022, the brand has already enjoyed great success. It won two medals in the prestigious World Whisky Masters blind-tasting competition in August 2023.
Owner Max Vaughn and Whisky Ambassador Tom Lindsey will both be present at the event and introduce the whiskies. There will also be an opportunity to purchase bottles of an exclusive single cask on the night.
Booking is easy via Eventbrite.
