The Melody Whisky Bar will host a special tasting event on Wednesday 12th April 2023 (19:30 to 22:00) to raise funds to help those affected by the recent earthquakes in Turkey. Distinguished whiskymaker John Glaser of Compass Box will be hosting and offering amazing whiskies to both sample and bid for at an auction on the night!
Compass Box
Compass Box is a producer, bottler and marketer of a range of blended Scotch whiskies (comprising single malts from two or more distilleries and aged for at least three years). Compass Box Whisky was founded in 2000 by American entrepreneur John Glaser, a former marketing director at Johnnie Walker. The company, based in Chiswick in south-west London, has contributed to shining a spotlight on the brilliant world of blended malt whisky as a counter-balance to the ever expanding profile of single malts. Glaser has established a strong reputation as an expert blender.

Supporting a good cause
There have been two very bad earthquakes of 7.5 and 7.8 magnitude in Turkey this year. More than 50,000 people died, thousands of people injured and a total of 13 million people were affected. All the money raised will be given to a charity to support people who are affected from the earthquakes in Turkey. Details will be shared at the event about how this fundraiser will help support victims of the disaster.
Tickets are £50 each and prices are kept as low as possible (even lower than the cost of the bottles!) thanks to the support of The Melody Whisky Bar at the St Paul Hotel and Compass Box. There will be a raffle and auction of lovely bottles at the end of the night. Auction bottles will only be available for people who attends the event.
The raffle tickets will be sold separately online and on the event day. It will be available for everybody. Even if you cannot attend the event you can buy raffle tickets.
