Dar Restaurant Week 2016: Oktopbang Restaurant Review

Korean restaurants aren’t commonplace here in Dar, but since Oktopbang opened its doors in February 2016,  Dar foodies now have a place from which to explore the exciting cuisine of the South-East Asian nation. Located in a quiet street off Kahama Road in Masaki, Oktopbang is a welcome addition to Dar’s ever-increasing number of oriental restaurants. The restaurant has an intimate indoor bar area and pleasant outdoor seating on raised decking.

The Trio Specials at Baraza’s Southern Sun

The Baraza team have introduced an exciting new addition to their increasingly popular weekly specials menu. New and regular diners alike can now experience dishes that come in ‘threes’. Valentine’s Dinner at The Terrace in Slipway

The dynamic duo of Chef Carl Chapman and Manager Michalis Xekalos showed their skill for arranging special occasion dinners with finesse on Valentine’s Day this year. The Terrace looked stunning with a spacious arrangement of rustic tables, sparkling glassware and subdued lighting reflecting off the pool. Tapas At La Veranda*

Set in a little oasis of tranquility overlooking Gymkhana Golf Club is one of Dar’s hidden foodie havens. La Veranda was opened by Jabeen Amin and Shemane Janmohamed (mother and daughter)  in April 2015 as the city’s ‘first Tapas experience’. It has quickly established popularity among locals and visitors keen to experience this unique addition to the restaurant scene.(*this restaurant has now relocated)
